These chess pieces feature a 3-3/4" king (standard regulation size); they're hollow plastic and have paper felt on the bottom. In addition, the set includes an extra queen of each color for pawn promotion, plus a classic Staunton design with traditional black and white pieces.
Board
The pink vinyl board included in this set has standard 2-1/4" squares, making the whole board 20" x 20" overall. It also features clear and legible algebraic notation, a must-have for tournaments and clubs. Vinyl has some memory, so it is recommended that you roll the board with the color side out so it will lay flat when you're ready to play.
Carrying Bag
The nylon canvas archer bag is the perfect size for carrying your chess set with you. Roll up the board, slide in the pieces (you'll still have room for various other accessories like pens, very small clocks, and small or soft-cover socrebooks), and go! There is a convenient shoulder strap for easy transportation. This bag is 21" long by 3.75" in diameter.
